Cellulose nitrate (CN), mixed cellulose ester (MCE), membrane filters are composed of cellulose nitrate and a small content of cellulose acetate.
Recommended for a broad range of applications such as the filtration of aqueous solutions, air/gas filtration, or sample preparation.
Suitable for sterile filtration, analytical sample preparation, clarification, particle analysis.
Cellulose nitrate filters, pore size 0.2 µm can be used for the analysis of filterability of beer (membrane filter test according to Esser, in “MEBAK – Brautechnische Analysemethoden – Würze, Bier, Mischgetränke – Methodensammlung der Mitteleuropäischen Brautechnischen Analysenkommission“ 2012, Chapter 2.20.1)
Sterilizable by autoclave, gamma irradiation, or ETO.
