Girit Pink Robe

A linen-heavy robe in soft pink and cream stripes, cut from the same flat-woven cloth as our Girit towels. The high linen content gives it structure and speed of drying; the cotton keeps it soft against the skin from the first wear rather than the tenth.

Why a peshtemal robe instead of terry

• It stays light when wet. Terry soaks up water and hangs heavy; this dries you and keeps its weight.
• Dry again by the next shower. A flat weave airs out on the hook instead of holding damp all day.
• Packs into hand luggage. Folds flat enough to travel without giving up half a case.
• Works all year. Linen breathes in summer heat and still covers after a bath in winter.

Fit

Cut unisex and relaxed, with a generous wrap, two front pockets and a tie belt. Sizes run S/M to XXL — the measurements above are of the garment, not the body, so allow for the overlap when it is wrapped. Size up if you are between sizes or want a longer, looser fit.

Care

Cold wash only, hang dry. No bleach and no fabric softener — softener coats the fibres and reduces absorbency. Wash with like colours for the first couple of cycles so the pink stays clean against the cream.
